"Breath of Fire," published by Reagent Press, is the first book in the Dragons of the Hundred Worlds. This brand new series tells the never before told story of the origins of the peoples of Ruin Mist.

In this epic fantasy adventure, I tell the story of the Hundred Worlds and its peoples through the eyes of the enslaved and the enslavers, weaving a tale that’s likely to be unlike any you’ve read recently. A millennia before the events of his bestselling epic Ruin Mist Chronicles, Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches, and In the Service of Dragons books, the Ageless owned heaven and earth, controlling the Hundred Worlds with iron fists. Jurin, the war machine of the Ageless, conquered the Alvish homeworld with ease and the enslaved Alvs are forced into labor camps on a distant world where darkness rules the night.

"Robert Stanek expands the fascinating Ruin Mist universe in the Dragons of the Hundred Worlds," publisher Jeannie Kim said. "He creates whole societies and peoples with an ease that is a joy to read. His ability to say so much using so few words is something you can only marvel at, and it makes a fun read even more entertaining. When his work starts reaching a wider mainstream audience, these books are going to catch fire."

The Hundred Worlds seem very real, as real as the original realms of Ruin Mist. Readers will enjoy learning about bug-eyed Begreth, domineering Drakon, goliath Jurin, resolute Trykaths, and more. But the most fascinating aspect of the story has to be how Robert Stanek weaves the story of adversaries together and how he takes the story to unique and interesting places. "This isn’t a doorstopper fantasy where you find yourself skipping whole paragraphs and pages," said a recent reader. "This is a fast-paced adventure that immerses you and sweeps you away."

With the growing popularity of novel series such as The Hunger Games, Harry
Potter, and Twilight, the young adult or teen audience is rapidly becoming a
much sought-after niche audience. Robert Stanek, a successful author who
specializes in writing science fiction/fantasy novels for both adults and young
teens, has published more than 70 books in this genre. Here he shares his
insight on how to write for the young adult audience.

Know Your Audience
– When writing books for young adults, it is important to know that this age
group will most likely read books with characters that are a few years older
than they are, but not a few years younger. Also, it is helpful to determine
your target audience in advance; are you writing for boys, girls, and at what
age? This will help you not only to write the novel but also to plan your
marketing and promotional efforts.

Establish a Young Adult Point of View
– As a rule, young adult readers want to read a novel that is written from a
young adult point of view, not an adult’s point of view that is reflecting back
on the past. When writing for this age group, you must try and put yourself in a
teenage mindset and disregard your adult, grown-up reality.

End on a
Positive Note – Most young adult novelists will tend to end their books on a
positive note, while adult books can end with extreme tragedy. Young adult
novelists understand there is a responsibility to allow for possibility and hope
at the end of their books, leaving it up to their readers to determine the final
outcome.
